wetter-germany.de is published independently. For any question about your data or this policy, the party responsible can be reached at contact@wetter-germany.de.
wetter-germany.de requires no account or sign-up and never identifies you by name. The site's host (Cloudflare) keeps brief technical logs — IP address, page requested, timestamp — used solely for the site's security and performance, then automatically deleted after a short time.
Audience-measurement tools may count visits and pages viewed, in aggregate, to understand which towns interest our readers and improve the site. These statistics do not allow you to be identified individually.
wetter-germany.de shows advertising through Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-4610498122942357), which may set advertising cookies on your device to measure ads and, with your consent, personalise them based on your interests.
On your first visit, a Google 'Privacy & messaging' banner asks for your consent before any non-essential advertising cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time from that banner or from your browser's privacy settings, and read Google's full policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Consent is requested by purpose: audience measurement, ad personalisation, ad measurement. You can accept some purposes and decline others; your choice is remembered on this device and browser, and you can change it at any time.
If you allow your browser to share your location — for example to show the weather at your current spot right away — that location is used once, in the browser itself, to redirect you to the right page; it is never sent to our servers or stored.
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, whose infrastructure spans Europe and the rest of the world; the technical logs mentioned above travel over that network and are used for no other purpose than the one described here.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase and object to data concerning you. To exercise it, write to contact@wetter-germany.de; we reply within 30 days. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can contact the data protection authority of your country.
We apply the principle of data minimisation: we only collect what's needed to run and improve the site, we build no personal profile, and we share no data with third parties beyond the providers named here (Cloudflare, Google).
Technical logs are kept for at most a few weeks; audience statistics, in aggregate form, for longer, but without ever identifying you individually.
